FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I book?
The easiest way is just to give us a call at +48 733 777 366. However, if you just happen to be at the library, send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop a message through our fanpage (www.facebook.com/7siekier).
In the message, aside from your beautiful name, put in number of players as well as day and time which suits you best.
Is it possible just to spectate without taking part in axe throwing?
Yes, you’re more than welcome to spectate, you may experience the very real phenomenon of axe envy though. This way or another we will have to count all you guys as a group.
Is it good for stag and hens?
Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle? Of course it does and of course axe throwing is the perfect activity for one last day/night of freedom for stags and hens! Please refer to our alcohol policy, we don’t want you to miss out because you’ve had one too many Lambrinis.
Can I get food and drink at the venue?
Hungry and/or thirsty Lumberjack is an angry Lumberjack. That’s why you can get one of the Wrocław’s favorite drinks (beer-offer comes soon!) as well as all sorts of snacks, which will boost your energy needed to throw these axes.
How long is a session and what do we get?
Lanes (single up to 4 persons and double up to 8 persons) can be booked for at least 1,5 hour. You can extend it by 30 minutes so many times as the lane availability (and Mr. Bill from security, who is last to turn off the lights in the building) allows.
During this time we:
- Give you a safety briefing and if it’s a mixed group we get you out of your shells and into a sociable, urban axe throwing mood.
- We teach you how to sling an axe like a boss, giving group instruction then brief individual coaching to hone your technique.
- Then once you’re happily smashing targets we’ll get you straight into a tournament or our cool games.
- We crown the tournament winner and celebrate with everyone else.
- At the end of the session we take some awesome photos for you to remember your amazing time throwing axes.
Do you have parking near the venue?
Yes. If you’re visiting us before 6:00 pm, you can go through the gate and park directly at the site from which you enter the building (ticket is 3 PLN / hour). However if the gate has already been closed, you will find a parking place on the Tęczowa street without a problem (from 6:00 pm parking on the street is free).
Is it safe?
Our sessions take place under highly controlled conditions. Axes are only ever thrown down empty, enclosed lanes under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor. As a result of rigorous testing, our axes and flooring have both been designed to reduce any unwanted bounces. Safety is our highest priority and we are continually reviewing and updating our practices to prevent any dangerous situations before they occur.
Is Axe Throwing for over 18’s only?
If you still cannot buy beer but you’re over 16, we invite you to come with a guardian or an adult, who will take the legal responsibility for you.
Are we allowed to drink alcohol?
If you’re not able to follow our team’s instruction or you can’t conduct yourself in a safe manner you won’t be allowed to take part. Let’s save the celebratory drinks for afterwards, strawberry daiquiri for us please!
Also, drugs are for mugs, so the same goes for illegal substances!
What should I wear?
No open-toed shoes. We love flip flops as much as the next person (or probably more), but they won’t cut it on our throwing lanes! Pro tip: flat shoes are best for throwing in.
Stay comfy. Wear whatever you like, but if it restricts your arm movement it’s gonna mess with your aim and we’re not giving you pity points for that. We might give you points for fancy dress though…
Can I play if I’m pregnant?
Axe throwing is a relatively low intensity activity so there is no reason why you cannot play. If you have any concerns please consult a doctor. If you are in the third trimester of your pregnancy, or up to 6-months post-partum, we strongly suggest speaking with your midwife or doctor before booking.
I have restricted mobility, can I still play?
We want to make sure that everyone can have the authentic “7siekier” experience and as such we will always make arrangements to accommodate anyone who may have restricted mobility. This is a low-intensity activity but it does require some level of movement. If you are unsure about whether or not you’d be able to take part please call us at +48 733 777 366 or send over an email to email@example.com and we can have a chat about how to support you during the session.
Can I bring my own axe?
Ain’t nobody got time for that! Our axes take a battering on the lanes and we don’t want to inflict that upon your own axe. Plus we wouldn’t want anyone to have any disadvantage now would we, Whistle Punks approved axes keep a level playing field.
How many players can I bring?
Our venue can accommodate up to 40 people. However if you’re not planning to give us a visit in such numbers, keep in mind, that a single lane can be occupied by up to 4 and double lane up to 8 people.
Is advance payment necessary?
If you book one or two lanes, you can pay up front or after you finished throwing. In case of bigger bookings we agree the advance payment individually.
Can I book a lane for „today”?
We have a 2 hour cut off point which means the latest time you could book an 8:00 pm session would be 6:00 pm the same day. However we always recommend booking your session in advance to avoid missing out on an axe-ellent time!
When can I book the lanes?
You can call (+48 733 777 366) or write (firstname.lastname@example.org or www.facebook.com/7siekier) virtually any time (we’re not always gonna pick up during the night), whereas the venue itself is open every day from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm and you can place your booking in this timeframe.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
We’re straightforward kinda people so we like to shake hands with people we take money from. At the venue you can pay cash or card.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
It would really be too bad, if you can’t come in agreed time, however in case of such an event, we would kindly ask you to let us know as early as possible.
